UNDERGRADUATE MAJORS AND MINORS

The College of Liberal Arts Offers Three
Undergraduate Degrees:
Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of Fine Arts - Bachelor of Music

Each of these degrees requires:

  1. a minimum of 120 credits with
  2. a minimum of 42 credits in upper-division courses
  3. Students may complete more than one major,
  4. a major and one or more minors,
  5. or a major and another academic program of study.

These may be in the College of Liberal Arts or in another college at Colorado State University. Numerous combinations, all of which enhance the value of the university experience, can be completed within the normal four years of study, if the student plans carefully.

Majors Offered

In addition to completing the requirements for a major, students also may complete one or more minors.

  1. A minor requires a minimum of 21 credits in a discipline.
  2. This is not 21 credits beyond the 120 required for graduation.
  3. Usually many of these 21 credits can be "double counted" as electives or other graduation requirements of a student's major.

The minor is listed on your diploma and on your transcript. When you declare a minor, you are assigned an advisor in the academic department that administers the minor. The following minors are offered in the College of Liberal Arts:
